TeleNova Receives License for Local, Long-Distance and International Telephony in Brazil

ANATEL, the Brazilian Telecommunications Agency, granted to TeleNova on June 10, 2003 a full license allowing it to operate local, long-distance and international telephone services in Brazil. This license, known as STFC (Switched Fixed Telephony Service), enables TeleNova Brazil to offer its advanced Internet telephony origination and termination services to individuals, corporations, service providers and carriers using a regular fixed phone.

As part of this authorization, TeleNova will receive its own range of 7- and/or 8-digit telephone numbers in several Brazilian cities. These numbers will be marketed and operated by TeleNova, which is currently deploying a company-owned, state-of-the-art VoIP network covering 26 cities in Brazil.
